Stephanie A. Urchick | Rotary International President

Rotary is at its best when we foster a sense of inclusion and belonging in our clubs.

… belonging is The Magic of Rotary itself

TOGETHER, WE SEE A WORLD

WHERE PEOPLE UNITE AND TAKE ACTION

TO CREATE LASTING

CHANGE ACROSS THE GLOBE,

IN OUR COMMUNITIES, AND IN OURSELVES.

The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:

Best wishes growing!

Coldwater Sunrise Rotary & District 6360 Foundation are sponsoring Proof at Tibbits Opera House. As Rotary delves into mental health, this production helps us learn more about challenges patients experience.
Tibbits Opera House is set to present David Auburn’s acclaimed play, Proof, from September 6 to 8, and 12 to 14. This Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, which originally premiered on Broadway in 2000, offers a profound exploration of the intersection between genius, mental health, and human connection.

Proof follows Catherine, the daughter of a once-renowned mathematician now grappling with mental decline. The play delves into themes of mental illness, familial relationships, and the delicate balance between brilliance and instability. It explores Catherine’s emotional journey as she navigates her father’s complex legacy and the pressures in her own life.

As an extension of its renowned TST program, Tibbits Summer Theatre Encore presents this production of Proof, promising to deliver a compelling and emotionally charged narrative. Audiences can anticipate a thought-provoking experience that intricately examines family dynamics and the impact of mental health issues.

This has been made possible through the generous support of our sponsors. Pines and Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, leading providers of mental health services in the region, are committed to enhancing the quality of life for those facing mental health challenges. Their dedication to community support aligns with the themes of Proof. The Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary plays a crucial role in local community service and philanthropy, supporting initiatives that enrich our cultural landscape, including the arts. We also extend our gratitude to the Rotary District 6360 Foundation Karl Sandelin Grant for their essential funding, which supports community development and engagement.

Proof is rated PG-13 due to mature themes and strong language. The performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on September 6, 7,13, and 14, and as a matinee at 2 p.m. on the 8 and 12. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.Tibbits.org, call 517-278-6029, or stop by the Tibbits office at 93 W. Chicago St, Coldwater. Early booking is advised for this sought-after event.Image attachment

Imagine how much fun District Governor Mark Odland had when the Gull Lake Area Rotary Club offered up a challenge to the Rotary Club Of Paw Paw Michigan to see which club could raise the most for End Polio Now from a box of purple frosted Boston Cream donuts. The challenge was issued by Gull Lake Rotarian Judi Brown who sent along a half dozen “purple pinky” treats that raised $37 from Gull Lake only to be topped by the $47 from Paw Paw. We all had fun supporting Polio Plus and enjoyed the competition. Congrats to all who participated.Image attachmentImage attachment
