Who we are

  • We are people of action, making a direct impact through service.

  • Hunger hides in every community.
The Rotary Club of Battle Creek supports solutions to food insecurity.

That’s what people of action do.

Join the Polio Plus Society Today.

In an effort to increase sustainable giving, the PolioPlus Society was formed to encourage Rotarians to commit to a minimum of $100-per-year to the PolioPlus Fund until polio is eradicated from the face of the earth.

Saturday, April 20 | 11:00AM. - 3:00PM
Kalamazoo Mayors’ Riverfront Park

We met with Patrick McVerry, Kalamazoo Parks & Recreation Director, and had a wonderful planning meeting about this year’s Kalamazoo River Cleanup. We’re thrilled to share that the City of Kalamazoo is all in and eager to support. Our first Kalamazoo River cleanup is this spring, Saturday, April 20. Event headquarter will be at Kalamazoo’s 64-acre Mayors’ Riverfront Park.

This site location has many benefits, including:
1. It is centrally located between Comstock and Parchment, the focus of Kalamazoo River cleanup.
2. The Kalamazoo County River Valley Trail runs through here.
3. This community site features Homer Stryker Field, picnic area, playground, and much more.
4. Generous parking with easy in and out for added convenience.
5. Restooms inside City of Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation building.
6. Gentle sloping boat launch provides easy entry and exit for canoes, kayaks, and motorized boats.
7. Adjoining greenspace for event headquarters, partners, and sponsor event tents, and other special activities.

We want to thank our early partners and sponsors. It is because of them this wonderful event is possible.
1. Rotary Club of Kalamazoo
2. Kalamazoo River Alliance
3. Kalamazoo River Watershed Council
5. OCBA Landscape Architects
6. City of Kalamazoo, Michigan
7. City of Kalamazoo Parks & Recreation
8. Kalamazoo County Emergency Management

Come join and make a lasting impact. This community-wide event is a great way to showcase our community spirit, civic pride, treasured Kalamazoo River, and prized River Valley Trail.

Guatemala Literacy Project trip last week! 30+ Rotarians from all over USA, and a very fun-loving Grand Cayman group, traveling, visiting, learning about & experiencing the MAGIC of this program! We witnessed a Nation being transformed, one confident achiever at a time - largely due to this unique multi-sensory approach to reading, learning, imagining, and achieving. A small investment by clubs and individuals in the development of future scholars is remarkably demonstrating the GOLD STANDARD on how to advance a NATION, one educated student at a time! Over 20 years of proven success showcases a replicable model for changing the world, rapidly and masterfully through education!! Literacy is the quickest, most transformative way to advance developing nations (Factfulness/Rosling). I urge every Rotarian to take this trip and witness the magic of Rotary before your eyes!! Its why I BELIEVE in & LOVE ROTARY!! DG Sharalyn Davis 💙Image attachmentImage attachment+Image attachment
